I started Best Coast to make sure it is.
I've spent twenty years in fashion and media, as a model, a fashion editor, a talent rep, and a publicist. I know how much power this industry has to shape what people want and how they live. I've also seen what hides behind the glamour: waste, harm to the planet, and people paid too little so clothes can cost less.
I decided to help change that story. As CMO of Remake, the global nonprofit fighting to make fashion fair for people and the planet, I spent years turning that belief into campaigns that moved real people to act.
Today, from San Francisco, I work with brands doing fashion right and help them get the attention they've earned. Good ideas deserve to be loud. That's the work, and I love it.
